Jonathan You Left Too Soon
By David Biebel
This book is out of print now, but you may be able to get a used copy at Amazon, check it out at the library, or get it at a used
book store.
With that said, I have to say this is a very emotional and heavy book with 180 pages! But well worth the read! It may take some time
to get through the whole book, but you feel better having done so.
I think what caught my eye initially about this book was what was written on the back: 'Daddy if I was killed, would you still be
able to find me?' Little did the author know that his son would one day die of an illness.
This book isn't just about David Biebel's emotional walk through his son's death. He uses the death to go through more complex terms
and situations that one faces due to such a loss.
Many grief books are written by women, which makes it hard for dads to feel like they can relate. This gives men a level playing field to
deal with their loss, emotions, and pains. This book is heart wrenching, emotional, and full of deep emotions and clinical healing.
